Abstract Section:
The purpose of this inquiry research study was to further explore ways educators can learn to develop culturally relevant pedagogy and implementing diverse teaching strategies for diverse students. With school populations becoming increasingly diverse, educators must implement numerous kinds of teaching strategies to empower all students with knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to actively participate in and positively function in a culturally diverse society. Specific culturally responsive teaching methods that are used within this inquiry study include the integration of First Peoples Principles of Learning, using varied assessment practices that promote learning and making the culture of the classroom inclusive to all students.
